Every time I am asked if it rains in the area that song by Albert Hammond ... "It Never Rains in Southern California" pops in my head! Of course it rains in southern California. Yes, it does rain here. Does it rain a lot? Depends on what area of the country you are comparing it to.

Bremerton receives only a modest amount of rain annually, less than most cities on the Eastern Seaboard. The precipitation is concentrated in the winter months, and summers are fairly dry. Because of the sometimes constant cloud-cover, many people have the impression that it rains all the time. It really is just perception.  Bremerton, Washington and Houston, Texas have the same annual rain fall. Wild huh?!
